If you are looking to invest in a property in sunnier climes, with great golf and fine dining, then Abama on the island of Tenerife could be just what you’re looking for…

Tenerife has long been a favourite with travellers looking to escape the long cold winters of Northern Europe and with over 3,000 hours of sun per year, and an average temperature of 21ºC, the 7-island archipelago is an ideal holiday destination. If you are looking to buy a property that would allow you to enjoy the game of golf all year round, then Tenerife is definitely worth considering. ABAMA RESORT. Tucked away on the islands’ southwest coast lies a 400-acre exclusive luxury resort, which offers Michelin star dining and a wonderfully challenging golf course. Surrounded by over 300 species of subtropical plant life and with stunning ocean views, this resort has everything you could possibly want. There is a secluded beach, a sumptuous spa, Michelin-starred restaurants and plenty of outdoor activities on offer.     The architecture of the resort itself recalls the ancient kasbahs, a type of fortress, yet features every modern amenity. The indoor spaces blended seamlessly with the outdoor, and around every corner you’ll find secluded spaces, perfect for quiet reflection.

MODERN LUXURY. The resort has dedicated a large part of its area to its luxury properties and Abama Bellevue II is the latest to come on the market. This collection of six turn-key detached and semidetached residences overlook the golf course, the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding islands and have been designed by renowned architects Virgilio Gutiérrez Herreros and Eustaquio Martinez. To make life as easy as possible for the property buyers, the villas are ready to move straight into and what could be better than that?     Ranging in size from 185 to 270 Sqm, the two semidetached single-story villas and four detached houses, all have landscaped gardens, private pools and parking. There is also a community garden and 24-hour security, as well as access to many of the Abama Resort’s facilities, such as tennis courts, the beach and the golf course. Property management services are also available, offering housekeeping, laundry, gardening, pool maintenance & catering, allowing you and your guests to put your feet up and enjoy your stay.

ELEGANCE. Set back from the rest of the resort, these 2 to 4 bedrooms’ homes are elegantly appointed and feature stunning ocean views and striking contemporary design. With clean lines, natural materials and walls of glass, the spacious properties make the most of the wonderful views.  And, as if a private pool on the ground floor isn’t enough, the two-storey units feature an additional mini-pool on the top floor.

GOLF. Created by Dave Thomas, designer of Ryder Cup and European Tour venues, the resort’s golf course is acclaimed as one of the finest in Spain. Rising to a peak elevation of 315m above sea level, it offers spectacular views from most of the 18 holes and features dozens of lakes connected by waterfalls, white-sand bunkers and more than 25,000 palm trees.     The golf course has large greens and wide tee areas, making it perfect for players of all levels. Electric buggies and complimentary refreshments served at several tees gives you that 5-star experience.

DINING. If you are a lover of good food, you won’t be disappointed, with many and varied restaurants to choose from. Holding two Michelin stars, Chef Martín Berasategui’s signature restaurant, M.B, offers an authentic taste of Basque cuisine, while Kabuki, also awarded with a Michelin star, provides another take on Japanese cuisine, fusing distinctive Japanese flavour profiles with traditional Western culinary techniques. There is also a steakhouse, an Italian restaurant, as well as several bars, so plenty of opportunities to enjoy eating out and socialising.

SPA. There is an award-winning Spa, where treatments are inspired by these seven pillars of well-being and indigenous ingredients of the volcanic island. Tropical papaya is combined with volcanic stones and tailored massage techniques, to bring about harmony, well-being and self-healing. There is a range of water and relaxation facilities, an outside garden cabana, as well as deluxe couple and single treatment rooms.

ACTIVITIES. There are plenty of things to keep you from getting bored, apart from the golf there is guided Jeep or helicopter tours, whale and dolphin watching and cable car rides to the summit of Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain and the third tallest volcano in the world. You can also go paragliding, enjoy water sports, visit picturesque villages, soak up some culture and heritage in historical towns and much more.    You can of course just choose to simply luxuriate on the beach or relax by the pool, the choice is yours. If all this sounds tempting, why not take a trip and have look for yourself.
