If you are looking for a luxury golf property with a wonderful year-round climate, where you can work on your tan while perfecting your swing, then one of these properties might be just what you’re looking for….

Minthis Hills – Cyprus

Situated on the south-western coast of Cyprus in the heart of Pafos’ wine producing region, and boasting a breathtaking hillside location, you’ll find Minthis Hills Resort and Golf course. And here, among the ruins of a 12th century monastery, luxury properties are being built.     With distinctive contemporary architecture inspired by local culture, Minthis Hills has brought a new dimension to Mediterranean living. Designed by world-renowned architects firm Woods Bagot, each residence is a fluid series of indoor and outdoor spaces, perfect for enjoying Cyprus’ great year-round climate.

GOLF. With the oldest golf course in Cyprus on your doorstep, you can play a game of golf whenever the fancy takes you. The Minthis Hills course enjoys a historic location, situated in the grounds of the twelfth century monastery, from which the resort took its name.     Its tranquil setting and mesmerising mountain views provide the perfect backdrop for a challenging game with its fairways meandering through mature trees and water features. At an altitude of 550m above sea level it’s a course for all seasons, enjoying cool breezes even during the summer.

Six Senses Freedom Bay - St Lucia

St Lucia is the probably the ultimate island paradise with its towering volcanic peaks, tropical rainforest and white sandy beaches bordering crystal clear waters. And nestling amongst 65 acres of tropical rainforest in the foothills of the majestic volcanic peaks of the Pitons, lies Six Senses Freedom Bay, an exclusive, five-star boutique spa resort.     Set in the hillside above the resort you’ll find an exclusive estate of luxury four and six bedroom private residences. The architecture of the villas incorporates elements of local stone and warm woods to reflect the surrounding natural beauty. The boundaries between the interiors and outdoor living spaces merge to offer space and seclusion. Large private decks and gardens include shaded chill-out areas with plumped up daybeds and an infinity edge plunge pool.

GOLF. Not far away is the St Lucia Golf & Country Club, perhaps offering the most demanding 18 holes of golf in the Caribbean. This championship course, which has recently been improved, is now under Troon Golf Management and is a challenge for both amateur and skilled players alike. The undulating par-71 only plays 6,685 yards off the Blues, but attracts a USGA rating of 74.3, taking well into account the strong winds, numerous water hazards and fast greens.

Royal Westmoreland – Barbados

Barbados is all you expect a Caribbean island to be, with sunshine, palm trees, white coral-grain beaches and crystal, azure waters. If you explore a little further, you’ll also be delighted by the rolling, lush hills, flourishing botanical gardens, colonial plantation homes and varied cultural calendar in which jazz festivals and carnivals sit alongside sailing and cricket tournaments. If this sounds tempting, then at Royal Westmoreland you can buy your very own piece of this paradise.     Designed in a colonial architectural style, that features spacious balconies from which to enjoy sunset views and alfresco dining, the Royal Apartments are a collection of 36 luxury residences. They are all open-plan and the finished in a high standard, with natural stone floors, coral rendering and pickled pine ceilings. If you’re looking for something a bit more private, then the last available Royal Villa offers a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, with a balcony on the upper floor to benefit from the cooling breezes and lovely views.

GOLF & FACILITIES. As well as access to the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed championship golf course, owners enjoy all of the estate’s extensive leisure facilities, which include three 25-metre leisure pools, a children’s pool, a fully-equipped gym, the Clubhouse restaurant and Bajan Rum Shack, floodlit garden tennis courts, the island’s only Elemis-endorsed spa and Mullins Private Beach Club on Mullins Bay - a magnificent stretch of secluded coast just a few minutes’ drive away from the estate.

Cap Vermell – Mallorca

On the north-eastern coast of Mallorca, in the tranquil valley of Canyamel, lies the luxury resort Cap Vermell. With white sandy beaches and several excellent golf courses on your doorstep, this might be the perfect place to buy a property in the sun. Here The Grupo Cap Vermell has chosen to build their luxury villas, as well as a Park Hyatt Mallorca 5 star resort hotel, which has just opened.     The villas are open-plan and modern in their design, but still with that Mediterranean feel and charm. With large windows looking out onto terraces and gleaming swimming pools, the properties make the most of the stunning views. There are also wine cellars and even space for your staff. Every property is different, but all exude luxury and are extremely spacious and light.

GOLF. Golf lovers will find four excellent golf courses nearby, among them Canyamel Golf, a Par 73, 18 hole golf course created by specialist architect José Gancedo. The picturesque course has fast, undulating greens with several challenging holes, and as many of the villas overlook it, you can sit on your terrace and enjoy the view while contemplating your next game.
